Practice on Saturday at Cadwell Park was fun and interesting! Analysis of the first session showed three corners where I could cut back a few tenths on the time sheet so I was all set to go for session two when after the first two laps my engine cut out and my session was over. Thank goodness for the amazing team at JamSport, they had a hard and late night fitting a replacement engine into my car, much coffee and flapjack was needed! Fantastic job done by them and I was on track for qualifying at 9am Sunday morning!  In quali I found a better line in the three corners I needed to work on and cut my time by 1.2 seconds from the day before, happy with that I qualified P6.

I had a good start to race 1 getting up to 4th place before a code 60 flag, after some hard racing trying to defend my position while struggling with a lack of top end power I finished the race in P7, not where I wanted to be but far better than where I could have been without an engine the day before! I turned my focus on to a better result in race 2.

At the start of race 2 I made a good initial getaway however lost multiple positions after being pushed onto the grass. I fought my way back through but by that time the front pack was too far ahead, even after my best efforts to catch them. Despite lacking straight-line speed again I finished in P8, but I had lots of fun on the corners where I could get stuck in. It was disappointing but I’m so happy I could race as on Saturday I thought my weekend might be over. I love Cadwell Park circuit as it has so many technical corners not to mention all the slopes.

I would like to say a massive thank you to my amazing sponsors, Whitworth Chemists and Ventures UK for giving me this opportunity, all of my family for giving lots of support and putting up with the cold weather, my coach Sarah Moore and finally my amazing team JamSport for providing me with a car that handled great and doing a fantastic job to get me on track for qualifying and both the races.

Onwards and upwards as we go to Silverstone for the next round, lets bring back some silverware this time!
