The weekend started off with mixed weather testing on Friday afternoon; I really enjoyed getting some wet testing in my car and could only hope it would stay wet all weekend. Unfortunately it stayed dry so I got stuck in, and in every session my times were dropping, which meant I had a great qualifying session finishing in 6th but with only 0.3 seconds between me and 3rd place so the race was going to be close.

After a great start in Race 1 I was in 3rd by the end of the first lap. It was a first for me having to both defend from a train of cars and stick with the people in front so I struggled to keep my position and finished the race in 8th place, but I learnt so much about what to do in that situation for when it happens again; and it will!

In Race 2 I made a great initial getaway but got boxed in meaning I couldn’t improve my position, but after some tough battles the race was red flagged just over half way through due to my teammates having a major accident on the pit straight. I’m really pleased both of them are OK!

My points gained at Silverstone mean I have now made my way up to 5th in the Championship!

A big thank you to JamSport Racing for all the effort they have put in giving me a great car, my amazing sponsors Whitworth Chemists for giving me this opportunity, Sarah Moore for the great coaching and to my family for all the effort and support they put in, I couldn’t do it without you all!

Really looking forward to the next race at Croft, which is my home circuit!

Bring it on!
