Whilst Matt began his racing career in karts, like many of today's motor racing greats, Matt’s focus has always been on endurance racing. Spending his karting career competing in endurance kart races around Europe Matt was extremely successful. He won a European Championship in 2015 in the Pro Kart category. The following year, aged 14, Matt moved into cars in the Junior Saloon Car Championship and then the Fiesta Junior Championship where he recorded 14 top ten finishes across both. As soon as Matt reached 16 he entered the 2018 Britcar Endurance Championship in a Ginetta G50. Despite being against driver’s a lot older and with a great deal more experience, Matt and his teammate stormed the championship and by doing so Matt became the youngest ever British Endurance Champion. As a result of this success and following an evaluation test Matt joined the top International GT racing team, Strakka Racing, as part of their Junior Development Programme. He learned from some of the best factory drivers in Motorsport. Matt has enjoyed the opportunity of testing a wide variety of cars, preparing him in the best possible way for his 2021 race season. In 2021 Matt and his team achieved multiple podiums in the Permit B Class. Matt moved up to the Permit A car to end the season where he achieved a podium in the whole of Cup 5, bringing home another trophy to celebrate a successful season.
